Navodaya Hostel

Providing hostel facility to all the children is essential as their homes are in remote areas, and are unable to reach home after the classes. All the children in the school are in the hostel. Including the Class XI and XII students there are 246 children in the hostel.

The girls and boys have a separate hostel with all requirements,

Besides the SCCG Sisters, there are Wardens - Mrs Sarswati Mainali for girls  and Mr. Kul Prasad Sonar for boys.

Another important reason for providing hostel facility to the children is to look after their health. Nutritious food is given to them in the hostel. Full meals are given before the school hours and in the late evening, and refreshment during the day time. All their medical needs are met. A Sister is appointed to look after the health needs of the children.

Food, accommodation and medical care are given to the children free of cost.

Since everything is given free to the children, they are expected to maintain the cleanliness of the hostel, the school and the premises. They are also asked to work in the vegetable farm and garden, and to help in cooking etc, as their contribution to the institution.

Morning and evening children spend 25 to 30 minutes each in prayer, which is conducted in common.  These prayer sessions help them to feel one with the humanity as a whole and feel united with the Almighty and with the entire human race with a feeling of harmony and brotherhood as they bring the whole human race in their payers.
