Besides the prescribed syllabus Navodaya School has several co-curricular activities to develop the talents of the children and to make them aware of their own potentialities. The entire school is divided into four Houses and all the activities and competitions are conducted among the Houses. Every day school assembly is conducted in which each House has to present some item on the stage daily.

Every year cultural competitions are conducted in which competitions for essay writing, singing, speech, poetry recital, mono act, skits, dance, painting, caricature, clay art, fancy dress and quiz are conducted. The winners are awarded. Again, Annual Sports Day is conducted with all vigour and vitality with spectacular opening functions. The school makes it a point that all the children get chance to participate in any of the items. 

Besides these, all the important festivals are celebrated in the school, especially those that are more related to the Chepangs – such as International Day of the Indigenous Peoples, Nawangi (most important festival of Chepang Community), Sarswati Pooja, Christmas, Mage Sankranti etc.

Every year children are taken for Educational Tour to historically and educationally important places. Entertainment programes are conducted whenever important guests visit our school. It is encouraging to see that children are very much talented in many things and are able to learn new things easily.

The school has a large ground for the children to move around and play. We provide several items of recreational facilities. Indoor games – caroms, snake and ladder, Chinese Checker, Chess are provided to the children. For outdoor games and sports, football, volleyball, badminton, skip etc are provided and children are making optimum use of these facilities.
